The Suncoast Area encompasses a number of locations and different neighborhoods, and even homes within the same town may tell a different story as to value and pace of sales. The bottom line is that it’s a very difficult question to answer and in a lot of ways the answer is very location specific. For example, homes in Downtown Dunedin are significantly different in value than similar homes that are just south of Union Street in Clearwater. There are many different factors in determining a home’s true market value.

When is the Best Time to Sell My Florida Home?

  What is my home worth and what price should I list it for? What real estate agent should I chose to represent me? When is the Best Time to sell my home?   There are many factors that go into answering these questions.  Certainly, the spring market has the reputation of being the best time to sell, but depending on the seller’s situation it may not be the right time.  In Florida, it’s more of an all-year-round market for obvious reasons. Weather does not play as big a factor in the decision to sell as in colder weather states.  There are good reasons to consider selling in the fall and winter months which are not as disadvantageous as one would think.   In the summer and spring sales volume is higher, but there are also more homes on the market than in the winter and fall.  Supply and demand tell us fewer homes on the market, more showings and less competition could mean higher sales prices!   During the holidays’ buyers that are looking are likely to be serious buyers.  Your home and neighborhood will be dressed up for the holidays, putting your best foot forward goes a long way toward a faster...
